VP NATIONAL SALES

Y. Stern Engineering, an International Corporation, is currently looking for an experienced business leader to join our rapidly growing sales organization for our Northern NJ office in the USA to head our North American sales & marketing activities.

 

SUMMARY

The successful candidate will have a strong background in developing sales strategies in the HVAC and Architecture & Design (A&D) industry and will be 100% focused on product placement/sales with architects, installers, contractors and distributors. The primary responsibility of the candidate is to "own" the category/vertical, drive sales as well as handle the day to day sales & marketing program activities. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete understanding of the market, not only prospects and potential customers but also competitors and other influences.

Maintain direct personal contact with key accounts, cold call and conduct presentations and meetings.

Compliance with periodic forecasts.

Develop and execute a ‘go-to-market’ plan to broaden market reach.

Work with new and existent customers to assure proper project development.

Approve, orient and develop new distribution customers as required. 

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will have the following experience or knowledge in the following areas:

Minimum 3+ years related proven successful experience in a similar sales position in the A&D industry.

Proven track record of selling to the HVAC / plumbing market.

Hard driving sales skills, excellent overall business skills, superior negotiating and relationship skills.

Ability to work effectively and collaborate with all business partners in an international environment.

Superior organizational logistics and time management skills. 

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with a variety of internal and external customers.

Ability to travel extensively and manage a flexible work schedule.

Proficient in computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM Database

 

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

SALES MANAGER – PLUMBING

Clifton, NJ

 

Y. Stern Engineering, an International corporation, is currently looking for an experienced technical sales professional to join our rapidly growing sales organization for our Northern NJ office in the USA as Sales Manager.

 

SUMMARY

The successful candidate will have a strong background in developing sales strategies in the HVAC and A&D industry.  Will manage the sales activities for the Stern branded products within an assigned territory in North America, direct the sales activities required to enhance the sale, marketability, specifications and profitability and channels of sale for product lines assigned.  Will maintain a “Flow-To-The-Work” methodology, traveling to target focus areas as required to meet the annual strategic sales plans.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

In conjunction with VP Sales, develop and execute an annual Strategic Sales Plan.

Maintain direct personal contact with all accounts, cold call and conduct presentations and meetings mainly to plumbing engineers.

Compliance with annual forecasts.

Develop a strong account base. 

Develop, maintain and follow major projects producing written reports on a monthly basis. 

Develop training, and/or assist in product application training to selected channels of sale.

Assist in the resolution of technical and commercial problems with customers.

Compare and evaluate competitive offerings.

Flexibility to perform all other duties, as required.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will have the following experience or knowledge in the following areas:

Minimum 3+ years related proven successful experience in a similar sales position in the HVAC / plumbing market.

Knowledge of sales channels – distribution, contractor, end-user, specifying engineers, etc.

Knowledge of the hospitality, plumbing markets and channels and applications, design/build firms, builders, specifications systems, mechanical/plumbing contractors and wholesale distribution.

Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in MS Office suite.

 

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Relevant technical background.
